#785 Traditional Brazilian Leather Vintage Vaqueiro Hat. Constructed from thick leather with elaborate decorative elements in white plastic strips. Front of the hat is turned up as is common in Recife area of NE Brazil. The chin and back of the neck straps are of leather, while the large tassels is woven colorful plastic; c 1950; somewhat stiff; shows use; 20” circumference; 6.5” tall
